"This recipe takes a Stove Top box and by making a few substitutions makes this one of my favorite sides at Thanksgiving. My mom has been making this recipe for as long as I can remember!" ~ Nicole Villanueva

Ingredients:

  • 1 box, Stove Top Stuffing

  • Vegetable or Chicken Broth

  • 2 teaspoons Poultry seasoning (or Sage and Thyme)

  • 6 tablespoons Butter

  • 1 Yellow Onion

  • 2 cloves Garlic

  • 2 eggs

Instruction:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Follow the directions to make the stuffing on the Stove Top box. Make these substitutions:

    1. Use vegetable or chicken broth instead of water.

    2. Add in the poultry seasoning (or sage and thyme)

    3. Melt 6 tablespoons of butter in a medium sauce pan. Dice the yellow onion and garlic. Add to the butter until onions are brown. Add this to the stuffing mixture.

    4. Beat 2 eggs. Add this to the stuffing mixture.

  3. Place the stuffing in a oven safe 12x9 pan.

  4. Bake the stuffing for 20-30 minutes.

Recommendations:

Add in more vegetables like red or green peppers if you want! Any vegetable would work.
